Formerly know as Cool Edit Pro and one of the famous tool used by mainly musician & composers. Mot of actor doesn’t buy a software suite; instead, they can pays a monthly subscription fee of just $19.99.
Adobe audition is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems & the user interface is navigable. This audio editing software speeds up production for video, radio, music, game and many more so most most of voice over prefer this tool.

Sony Sound Forge Pro (Windows only)
3. Ocean Audio:
Ocean Audio is blend of voice over tool that has been developed by team Brazilian engineers at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
This application has been developed as free tool that could be used in all the platforms like Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. VST Plugins are used in Ocean Audio.
The Ocean Audio does not have Effect Stack that is available Twisted Wave and also there is no Audio Chain which is used in Audacity.
4. Audio Editor
Audio Editor is one the most exclusive used tool by the voice over artists. This could be called as lifeblood to the television editors, radio producers and even studio engineers. The reason for the wide usage of this tool is its flexibility to save and backup the files. The edited content is saved in the same format as the original, there is no need to save the file exclusive with a audio extension. The other effects include compression, topping and tailing, reverb, compression, and even adding delay. Creating and renaming the files can also be done using this tool.
5. Wavasour:
Wavasour is also a similar type application as that of the Cool Edit Pro 2, and Wavasour also is available only in the Windows operating system and not Mac operating system.
The Wavasour application helps the user create latency free music tracks with the mix of the voice in the music. But the application has been last updated only 6 months ago.
This was a brilliant tool that was developed in competition to the Sony Forge. Wavasour tool has been developed with the functionality of a Sound Forge and Garageband.
